METHOD OF MANUFACTURE OF LARGE-SIZED CONCRETE AND REENFORCED CONCRETE ARTICLES UNDER RIGOROUS CLIMATIC CONDITIONS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of large-sized monolithic concrete and reinforced concrete articles from dry moulding concrete under rigorous climatic conditions. SUBSTANCE: dry concrete mix is prepared on basic of aggregates of natural moisture content. Then concrete mix is placed in layers and packed in forms treated with consistent grease. Then injectors are mounted. Every other injector is connected to steam source for preheating and saturation of dry concrete mix and vacuum pump for evacuation of air from mass concrete. Delivery of steam and suction of air through adjacent injectors are changed periodically. Exposed surface of article is treated with steam and steam condensate fed from injectors. Upon completion of saturation of concrete mix with water, injectors are withdrawn from mass concrete. Exposed surfaces of articles are hydro- and heat-insulated till concrete has reached preset strength. EFFECT: critical strength of early concrete; fast water saturation of dry concrete mix. 1 tbl
