FIELD: technology of manufacturing insert drill bits for rotary-percussion drilling, in particular, methods of facing drill bits with hard-metal cylindrical inserts by soldering. SUBSTANCE: method includes making of additional hollow in bottom of holes of bit body, filling of hollow with solder, installation in bit body holes of hard-metal inserts, insulation of gap between hard-metal inserts and hole walls at the outlet to working surface of body from environment. Gap between inserts and hole walls is filled with solder by heating bit body installed with its working surface downward. In addition, in heating, bit body is installed on base with supporting surfaces for bit body and supporting surface for hard-metal inserts. EFFECT: simplified process of drill bits soldering; increased strength of solder seam. 2 cl, 1 dwg
