FIELD: mining machinery used in mining industry, in particular, tunneling machines. SUBSTANCE: working member has frame, chopping crown bit and drive. Drive reducing gear has two drive shafts, each of which is connected with its electric motor, and combining shaft on which block of two wheels movable in axial direction are mounted on splines. Wheel of small diameter is installed to be engaged with two drive shafts. Wheel of large diameter is installed for engagement only with one drive shaft. Such design of working member allows development of practically constant torque on shaft of working member with variation of rotary speed of chopping crown bits. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
