FIELD: defence equipment, applicable in missile-weapon complexes. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in formation of wide and narrow control fields. Missile is launched at an angle to the target sight line and accelerated during ta with the aid of an engine. Missile guidance during ta is accomplished in the wide control field in compliance with the attitude of the missile engine flame relative to the target sight line, and guidance in the narrow control field-in accordance with the attitude of the missile radiation source. During time ta the missile body structural member is heated, then missile guidance in the wide control field is effected in compliance with the attitude of the heated structural member relative to the target sight line. Separation of the engine is accomplished at a decrease of the angle between the target sight line and attitude of the heated structural member to the value smaller than half the solid angle of the narrow control field. EFFECT: enhanced antijamming capability of missiles at a wide range of spread of time of engine operation. 1 dwg
