GEAR FOR CENTRIFUGAL CASTING IN PROTECTIVE ATMOSPHERE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: centrifugal casting of metals and alloys used in manufacture of dentures. SUBSTANCE: proposed gear includes furnace, vertical shaft carrying lever with dish hinged to it. Dish houses inductor with melting pot. Mould is so loaded into dish that its sprue channel coincides with mouth of outlet of melting pot. Dish with mould is balanced with counterweight. Protective atmosphere is formed and inductor is switched on. Shaft is activated after melting of metal. Dish deviated to side opposite to direction of rotation owing to its hinge attachment which results in prevention of metal sputtering. EFFECT: improved melting efficiency, simplified connection of inductor to generator, increased operational reliability. 4 dwg
