FIELD: long-term determination of day of week for different calendar systems, such as Julian or Gregorian calendar. SUBSTANCE: method involves determination of group to which year belongs using table of years which is split into seven groups, determination of day of week for required date using table of month days which is split into seven groups, correction of result using additional numerical or tabular data for another calendar system, for example, Julian calendar. In addition method involves determination of day of week for first day of month or date of first Sunday in month directly at intersection of name of month and group of year in table of years, where January - February and other months of leap year are located in adjacent groups.
