FIELD: animal farming. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has number blocks and needles to which tattooing liquid is supplied. By rotating each section of drum, required number is set. Animal's floor of the auricle is inserted into space between thrust and needles and lever is pressed down. Catch roller exits from slot in stem, which is urged downward to provide penetration of needles into animal's floor of the auricle and filling of punched tissues with tattooing liquid. Required space between needles and lower thrust is adjusted by urging lower thrust with pad relative to tattooing apparatus casing. Apparatus may be used for marking animals of different kinds, sex and age. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities, reduced injure to animal and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 2 dwg
