METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PLAYING "WAR" CHESS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: table games. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing chess pieces presenting participants of advanced battle on playing field; moving chess pieces in accordance with regulations. Pieces of both players may be fastened to playing field cells. Each player has 32 pieces presenting fighting arms and differing in color. Chess pieces are placed and moved across many-sided playing field surface composed of two playing layers. Each playing layer has playing faces arranged in parallel and offset relation one with respect to another in one direction along axis, extending perpendicular to faces, for distance equal to cell width. Projection of playing faces on plane extending in parallel with these playing faces defines surface composed of 64 light and dark cells, whose colors in different playing layers differ one from another. Device has playing field with chess surface and pieces of different color for two players. Playing field is adapted for rotation and provided with many-sided chess surface. Method and device allows play situation to be analyzed simultaneously in several playing layers. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased entertaining effect. 3 cl, 9 dwg
