FIELD: equipment for cleaning, finishing and strengthening surfaces of large parts, such as slotted disks, gears etc. SUBSTANCE: method involves pressurizing machining medium in container by transmitting unidirectional vibrations to parts adapted for working, while preventing machining medium adhering to surfaces to be worked from vibrations; unpressurizing machining medium below surfaces under worked parts by flowing medium jets, with pressure and flow rate of working medium being regulated by periodically changing the state of machining medium from monolithic to suspended. Apparatus has part fastening device positioned within container and hung to vibrational drive flexibly mounted on base and provided with deflector. Container is formed as cylinder with conical bottom. At least one nozzle for forming flowing liquid jets is positioned within cylinder. Deflector base is configured in accordance with shape of surface to be worked. Container is positioned so that it may be inclined.
