STARTING SYSTEM OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: starting system has positive displacement hydraulic drive with hydraulic set used as power unit. Driving up of hydraulic set is provided by working liquid pressure. After starting of engine, hydraulic set operates as pump and delivers working fluid to underpiston space of energy accumulator. Hydraulic set can be used as pump of steering hydraulic system or other system. Hydraulic distributors are connected into system to charge operating conditions. Hydraulic distributors provide following connections of hydraulic set lines: at starting, inlet line is connected with pressure line of energy accumulator and outlet line is connected with hydraulic tank; at charging, inlet line in connected with hydraulic tank, and outlet line, with energy accumulator; after charging, inlet line is connected with hydraulic tank, and outlet line, with other hydraulic system. EFFECT: combination of functions of engine starter and steering hydraulic booster pump or pump of other hydraulic system. 4 cl, 1 dwg
