FIELD: thermal engineering. SUBSTANCE: fuel combustion occurs due to separation of air flow into primary and secondary flows in same cross-sectional area of piston chamber reaction zone in primary and secondary channels. Primary and secondary channels have different carrying capacity. Fuel combustion is effected in stabilized flame within primary channels. Combustion products are mixed up with secondary air. Each primary channel is contiguous with at least one secondary channel. Fuel combustion device of gas-turbine engine has case with annular inner and outer shells. Reaction zone houses fixed flow separators and those movable with respect to the former in peripheral direction. Flow separators form alternating primary and secondary channels with variable proportion of flow section areas. EFFECT: improved reliability of fuel combustion. 3 cl, 6 dwg
