FIELD: hot-water boilers of thermoelectric plants. SUBSTANCE: method consists in drainage of heating surfaces and heating inner surfaces of all tubes with hot circulating water. Temperature of outer and inner surfaces of tubes is maintained above dew point of air surrounding the boiler; this is achieved through delivery of hot circulating water to several convective banks whose risers are shut off from inlet dispensing and accumulating headers of convective section of boiler.
