FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry, more particularly diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes diesel fuel-based fuel composition comprising 0.045-0.4 wt % barium alkyl phenolate and 0.005-0.1 wt % additive selected from group consisting of carboxylic acid-diethylene triamine reaction product, sulfocarboxylic acid-diethylene triamine reaction product, product of reaction of alkyl phenol with hexamethylene tetramine, diethylene triamine and boric acid. The claimed fuel composition has better antismoke effectiveness as compared with that of well known compositions and reduced toxicity of waste gases. EFFECT: improved properties of the fuel composition. 1 tbl
