FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: in correspondence with proposed process collection of open vessels are transferred past testing plant and fluid medium is supplied into hole of vessel without interruption. At stage of injection at least portion of volatile substances is driven out to form cloud of sample outside vessel close to its hole. Cloud of sample is extracted and analyzed to determine presence or absence of residue of substances. Cloud of sample is extracted continuously with the use of exhaust pump during passage of vessels through testing plant and fluid medium and/or cloud of sample are sucked in by pulses. System to take samples and detect presence or absence of residues of chemical compounds in vessels has aid to inject fluid medium through holes in specified vessels to drive out at least portion of their content and to form cloud of sample in zone outside vessels. System includes aid to take sample of specified portion of content from each vessel driven out in specified manner by suction of cloud of sample, aid to keep above-mentioned aid at some distance from holes and aid to analyze sample. Aid to take sample is manufactured in the form of exhaust pump and controlling means that injects fluid medium before extraction of fluid medium with use of same exhaust pump. Invention makes it feasible to detect presence or absence of specific substances, for instance, hydrocarbons, in such vessels as bottles for soft drinks moving fast along conveyor, to inspect vessels, to analyze residues in vessels and to take samples at high rate. EFFECT: improved efficiency and reliability of process and system. 48 cl, 7 dwg
