METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CLAYWARE BY SEMIDRY PRESSING AND DEVICE FOR HEAT TREATMENT OF CLAYWARE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of building materials, in particular, manufacture of clayware by semidry pressing, for instance, brick, roofing, tiles, etc. SUBSTANCE: pit clay is ground and freed of mechanical impurities and placed into mixer of disintegrating type for simultaneous grinding, mixing, predrying or finish moistening to pressing humidity and pressing of articles on hydraulic presses. Articles are subjected to heat treatment by closed cycle for 3.5-4 h. After pressing the articles are dried at temperature of 105-110 C with directed flow of hot air medium formed in chamber of article cooling and supplied by fan to drying chamber through channel. Finish drying is effected with heat coming through channels from firing chamber. Located in firing chamber are electric heaters with automatic raising and maintenance of firing temperature. Articles are fired at temperature of 400-700 C depending on clay chemical composition. Fired articles are cooled with water steam coming to cooling chamber from chambers of drying and firing. EFFECT: reduced process cycle of clayware manufacture and energy consumption, improved mechanical and physical characteristics of articles and process ecology. 2 cl, 1 dwg
