COMPACT TURBOCONDENSATE PUMP Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: nonpositive-displacement pumps and compressor; turbocondensate and turbofeed pumps. SUBSTANCE: compact turbocondensate pump has rotor 1 with turbine wheel 2, drum 3 having blind holes 4 and centrifugal impeller 5 mounted on it in succession. Rotor is arranged in housing 6 whose inner surface is provided with helical passage 11 connected with circular chamber 12 by means of throttles 13. Chamber 12 is used for receiving cooling liquid. Steam revolving turbine wheel 2 spreads into passage 11 under action of revolving drum 3 where it is mixed with cooling water and gets condensed and the entire medium moves to impeller 5, discharge 15 and outlet branch pipe 16. EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions of pump enhanced efficiency. 3 dwg
