FIELD: measurement technology, spectral analysis of signals with constant relative resolution by frequency. SUBSTANCE: method is intended to ensure possibility of measurement of increment of oscillations, decrement of oscillations and duration of transition process in frequency bands of peak and peak-factor values and to detect envelopes of band signals. Method also solves problem of increased accuracy of measurement of root- mean-square values while analyzing pulse signals under condition of linear averaging. These objectives are achieved by creation of sequences of discrete values of signal with different frequencies of repetition of readings in each of them during discretization and quantization. In this case discrete values of these sequences are filtered with the use of digital band-pass filters and digital low-pass filters. Signals from outputs of digital band-pass filters are subjected to processing related to determination of amplitude values and of all other informative parameters of band signals on their basis.
