FIELD: reconstruction of clock period signal from data stream. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to method and device for extraction of clock period signal. Reference clock period signal, predominantly one of reference clock period signals complementary to one another, is fed locally to two groups of phase shifters. Correspondingly one phase shifter that has assumed condition inside its working range is chosen for preparation of reconstructed clock period signal as the other phase shifter is kept in readiness in diametrically opposite condition with reference to chosen phase shifter inside its working range. When boundary of working range of chosen phase shifter is achieved switching over to phase shifter kept in readiness is conducted. Technical result consists in exclusion of precision external or tuned elements determining frequency and in increased stability of frequency on the whole.
