FIELD: metal working, namely rod cutting. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has housing with combustion chamber. Rod with movable cutter moved by action of gun powder gases is arranged in housing. Cutting head with stationary cutter and barrel box having chassis with lock, return mechanism and trigger mechanism are mounted on housing. Barrel box supports magazine with shells and gun handle. Guiding plate with magnet pressed into it is mounted on rod. Magnet joins movable cutter with rod. Housing and cutting head have cylindrical turning for discharging gun powder gases out of combustion chamber. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, simplified operation of apparatus, reduced possibility of accidents. 1 dwg
