METHOD FOR CREATING PERFORATED SLOT-LIKE PASSAGES IN CASING STRING AND DEVICE FOR VERTICAL SHIFTING OF PERFORATOR Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: method can be used for opening of productive oil beds by slotting. According to method, perforator is lowered on pipe string down to perforation interval, then pressure is built up in these pipes. Creation of slot by shifting of perforator simultaneously with movement of piston of perforator motor is carried out as follows. Initially perforator is lowered into lower zone of bed interval. Creation of slot is effected by movement of perforator upwards under force generated on motor piston. Speed of perforator movement is adjusted by changing capacity of pump which delivers working liquid into above-piston system. Device for vertical shifting of perforator comprises perforator, perforator motor with body which contains piston with rod interconnected with rope-and-pulley system, working liquid supply and discharge line. Perforator motor is installed between end of rope of rope-and-pulley system and bracket on which rigidly fastened is body of perforator motor. Application of aforesaid method and device allows for reducing labour-intensity in realization of slot-like perforation. This is achieved due to excluding auxiliary operations of mounting slot-making devices. Also ensured is safety adjustment of perforator shifting speed at opening of productive oil bed.
