FIELD: mineral dressing. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cuprous ores with complex mineralization and highly developed borders of sulfide and non- ore minerals, which are hard to concentrate as compared to other types of copper-nickel ores. Method includes grinding material, selectively floating copper minerals into copper concentrate using sulfhydryl collector, isolating nickel minerals from pulp into froth product and barren rock into reject. According to invention, starting material is conditioned in a low-alkali medium while simultaneously aerating pulp with oxygen-containing gas in presence of an inorganic sulfur-containing compound forming, upon pulp aeration, regulators - iron group substances - in amount ensuring copper-to-iron sulfide weight ratio in pulp 1:(1.5 to 30) at molecular oxygen-to-iron sulfide weight ratio 1:(20 to 350) for 10 to 60 min.
