FIELD: plastic metal working in forge shops of metallurgical and machine manufacturing plants producing automobile wheels and similar articles. SUBSTANCE: proposed process includes preparation of starting billet, formation by backward extrusion of intermediate semi-product in the form of cup with transition from wall to bottom and ring protrusion on reverse side of the latter with formation of flange along perimeter of face wall of cup at final stage of extrusion. Transition from wall to bottom is created in the form of conical surface which line of crossing with wall of cup and its bottom part presents guides of conical surfaces of cones forming certain angle with regard to vertical line. Then formation of disc part with creation of relief is conducted and final formation is carried out with application of axial force at least to upper flange, conical surface inside cup and face ring protrusion that transfers it to lower flange. After this thermal treatment and machining are conducted. EFFECT: simplified design of rigging to manufacture wheels, reduced usage of metal. 2 cl, 3 dwg
