FIELD: die casting of metals and alloys. SUBSTANCE: multipurpose unit has immovable and movable parts. Immovable part consists of holder, fixed half-mold of changeable pack and sprue bushing. Movable part has base, holder, plate of pushers and movable half-mold of changeable pack. Movable half-mold of changeable pack consists of molding insert, spacer and pushing unit tightened by transit screw. Half-molds of changeable pack are fastened in multipurpose unit by means of screws installed with inclination in holder. Used for convenience in operation, in mounting and dismantling of changeable pack is transport frame. It is attached to molding insert of this half-mold. Insert is introduced with holder and secured with inclined screws. EFFECT: reduced time for changing half-molds of changeable pack with sufficient simplicity and reliability of multipurpose unit. 4 dwg
