FIELD: agriculture, mycology, mushroom culture. SUBSTANCE: method involves an addition of water-soluble selenium compound - - sodium selenate to the nutrient medium. Sodium selenate solution prepared by method of successive dilution is added to the nutrient medium mass containing the boiled cereals grains, chalk (0.3%) and gypsum (1.5%) at concentration 10-4-10-6 g/l followed by sterilization of the mixture. The use of sodium selenate as the growth stimulating agent of meadow mushroom mycelium sowing material ensures to decrease culturing period an average by 1.4-fold, enhance mycelium quality being without change of nutrient medium. Invention can be used in mushroom culture for producing the sterile sowing mycelium of meadow mushroom fungus.
