FIELD: rolled stock production, namely straightening rolled piece in roller-type straightening machine by multiple bending. SUBSTANCE: method for straightening rolled piece comprises multiple sign-variable bending of rolled piece in three zones: input zone, maximum deformation zone and output zone; providing between previous and output zones at least one intermediate zone for single bending whose curvature is mean between curvature values of adjacent zones. Roller-type straightening machine includes two rows of working rollers arranged in staggered fashion. Upper rollers are arranged by three sections: inlet, mean and outlet. Rollers of inlet and outlet sections are inclined relative to working rollers of lower row. Working rollers of mean section are mounted in such a way that their lengthwise axes are arranged under crossing points of planes including lengthwise axes of rollers of inlet and outlet sections with vertical axes of terminal rollers of mean section. More smooth curvature change in initial zone provides high quality of straightened rolled piece with thickness and yield strength fluctuations.
