FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: cable connector adapter includes external body, at least one seal of cable on modular base and terminal seal which fills body together with cable seal. Terminal seal has two compressible wedges which may be drawn together or set apart by means of screw device and two additional compressible wedges which also may be drawn together or set apart; additional wedges are engageable with main wedges. Four wedges are held together by means of movable strip in such position that they are movable relative to one another. Wedges and screw device form together rotatable unit which may be mounted in body. Outer side of flexible strip is provided with guide shoulders which are approximately opposite to additional wedges which is necessary for properly positioning the unit in body. Strip and wedges are formed integral; ends of strip are bonded together. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 5 cl, 5 dwg
