FIELD: electric drives. SUBSTANCE: stator has core whose outer surface is round. Radially magnetized permanent magnets form main poles. They are curvilinear pentagons in cross-section which are fixed in triangular depressions whose quantity depends on number of poles on cylindrical inner surface of stator core. Inner and outer surfaces of the latter do not intersect and form jumpers along pole axes thinner than jumpers along axes of commutating poles; inner surface of stator forms circumference in cross-section. In this way, magnetic field in air gap approaches sine-wave shape; demagnetization of permanent magnets due to armature reaction fluxes is reduced; magnets are precisely positioned on stator and reliably secured in position due to enlarged area of their attachment and physical impediment to their tangential shift; magnet space in machine is enlarged thereby raising its energy. EFFECT: improved commutation and utilization of inner space of machine. 3 dwg
