FIELD: hypersonic and aerospace vehicles. SUBSTANCE: engine includes two ramjet modules located in parallel with MHD energy converters mounted on it and electrically interconnected; one of them is adjusted in generator mode and other, in booster mode. Cavities of converters are combined with air ducts of each module and separated from each other by insulating walls provided with ports; they are provided with controllable doors, thus making it possible to perform adjustable exchange of energy between MHD converters. EFFECT: increased speed limit of modules of hypersonic ramjet engine from flight Mach number of 8-10 to 20-25 due to use of magnetogasdynamic facilities. 3 cl, 9 dwg
