FIELD: coal mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for use in mining steep coal seams. According to method, driven underground openings are inclined in descending with creation of stoping pillars. Inclined work face is mined by means of three-auger cut-and-load machine with hydraulic transportation of coal from work face under protection of powered support system. Sections of powered support are located step-like with resting of each subsequent section on preceding section. Application of aforesaid method allows for complete mechanization of operations for stoping and transportation of coal together with control of work face. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 dwg
