AGENT FOR TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH SKIN AND MUCOSA SICKNESSES AND METHOD OF ITS PREPARING Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2140781 C1

FIELD: medicine, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agent used for treatment of patients with infectious inflammatory sicknesses of skin and mucosa arising at the damage of cutaneous sheathes, metabolism disorders or peripheral circulation. An agent has a stimulator of repair processes β-carotene, antibiotic of the broad action gentamycin, vitamins: α-tocopherol acetate and calcium pantothenate, preserving agent and an ointment base. An agent has an aqueous-emulsion base as an ointment base including an oily component and solvent. An agent has the following components as an emulsifier: a mixture of surface-active substances consisting of higher saturated alcohol polyhydroxyethylene glycol esters (preparation OC-20), glycerol monostearate (distilled monoglycerides), alcohols of higher saturated fractions from C12 to C20 and water at the following ratio of components, wt.-%: β-carotene (as measured for crystalline form) 0.02-0.07; gentamycin sulfate (as measured for the base) 0.05-0.5; α-tocopherol acetate 0.1-0.3; calcium pantothenate 1.0-2.5; preserving agent 0.1-0.7; higher saturated alcohol polyhydroxyethylene glycol esters (preparation OC-20) 2.0-8.0; higher saturated alcohols of fraction from C12 to C20 2.0-6.0 and water - the rest up to 100%. Method of preparing an agent involves dissolving, mixing components being β-carotene and α-tocopherol acetate are dissolved in an oily component at 40-70 C; preserving agent is dissolved in the solvent and gentamycin sulfate and calcium pantothenate are dissolved in water. Higher saturated alcohol polyhydroxyethylene glycol esters (preparation OC-20) are melted with glycerol monostearate and higher saturated alcohols. Then at stirring to an aqueous solution at 60-70 C the preserving agent solution in the solvent, β-carotene and α-tocopherol acetate solution in an oily component and the melt of surface-active substances are added, emulsified and cooled at stirring. An agent has Vaseline or vegetable oil as an oily component. An agent has 1,2-propylene glycol or polyethylene glycol-400 as a solvent. An agent has p-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester as a preserving agent. EFFECT: high an antibacterial and wound--healing activity of an agent. 7 cl, 2 tbl
