FIELD: veterinary science; prophylaxis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases of farm animals. SUBSTANCE: method includes introduction for young animals of treatment and prophylactic products possessing a complex of protective factors included in composition of initial products of vegetables: beet, carrot, cabbage, Jerusalem artichoke and produced during their fermentation with specially selected lactobacillus strain-product prepared from decoction of mixture of squeezed out vegetables: product prepared from mixture of squeezed out vegetables and product from mixture of nonsqueezed out vegetables. Products for feeding are selected depending on age and state of young animals health.
