FIELD: oil refining industry. SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing diesel fuel by hydrorefining of directly distilled diesel fractions, stabilization of hydrogenizate in rectifying column with stable hydrorefined diesel fuel withdrawn from column bottom, with hydrocarbon gas and gasoline fraction withdrawn from column top. Gasoline fraction resulting from hydrorefining of diesel fractions is subjected to degassing in separator at 50-80 C and pressure of 0.02-0.05 MPa to make its fractional composition heavier followed by removal of hydrogen sulfide therefrom and mixing with hydrorefined fuel in amount of 0.2-0.8 wt % per amount of the resulting diesel fuel. EFFECT: increased yield of the desired product. 5 ex, 1 tbl
