FIELD: water-development works. SUBSTANCE: hoist includes car, hoisting and braking mechanisms. It is made in form of portable gantry. Cab arranged inside is suspended from cargo and preventive ropes. Hoisting mechanism is mounted on upper frame of gantry. Braking mechanism consists of gear wheel with torque-limiting clutch connected with preventive rope drum, ratchet wheel and sprocket fitted on preventive rope drum. Sprocket is engageable with roller of lever provided with cam. It gives support for roller of pawl whose teeth may be engageable with teeth of ratchet wheel. Lever and pawl are articulated on frame of gantry. EFFECT: enhanced maneuverability and operational reliability. 3 dwg
