FIELD: transport engineering; device for setting wheeled vehicles into motion by man power through reciprocating lever. SUBSTANCE: bell cranks are hinge-mounted at two sides of vehicle frame. Rockers are hinge-mounted on end of shorter arm of bell crank and are furnished with loop-type limiter at side of handle. Longer arm of bell crank passes through this limiter. Chains connected end of longer arm and lower end of rockers and engage with sprockets on wheel hubs when rocker handle is pressed downwards. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of drive owing to dispensing with overrunning clutches. 3 dwg
