FIELD: breakage of rocks with help of vertical and inclined holes. SUBSTANCE: artillery gun barrel filled with water held by membrane secured at muzzle end face is lowered into hole to depth exceeding barrel recoil at shot, and water is heated by inductor to parameters closing the critical state of water and steam, and due to action of pressure in barrel, membrane is destroyed and superheated water is thrown into hole in amount required and sufficient for complete conversion of cryogenic fluid found in hole into gas.
