METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING PERMANENT-MAGNET MOTOR (OPTIONS) Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2143761 C1

FIELD: hydraulic and pneumatic systems. SUBSTANCE: method involves shaping time interval exceeding preset duration of working travel for starting period simultaneously with energizing motor winding followed by comparing this interval with actual duration of working travel and reducing difference in these time periods to almost zero by varying current through winding or voltage across it. Device implementing this method has series-connected power supply, electronic switch, and motor winding connected through diode to field suppressor and additional electronic switch; it also has armature position sensor and control unit. The latter has control pulse generator, pulse- width modulator, digital-to-analog converter, reversing counter, two one-shot multivibrators with inverting inputs, OR gate, RS flip-flop, and signal one-to-zero transfer delay circuit. Control unit may also be made in the form of microcomputer with position sensor output being connected to microcomputer data input port line and control signal output port connected through first line to electronic switch input, through second line, to additional electronic switch input, and through third line, to control inputs of power supply diodes. Proposed method and device make it possible to ensure steady state operation at load varying from no load to maximum.
