FIELD: production of synthetic washing agents. SUBSTANCE: method involves sulfation of α-olefins (C12-C14) at temperature 13-18 C by addition of sulfuric acid containing 10-25% of formaldehyde in the form of paraform, formalin or urotropin, and ethyl chlorine at weight ratio to acid 1:1. Then 0.1-0.15 wt.% of (C2H5)3CH2C6H5N+Cl- is added and sulfamass is aged for one hour at temperature 13-18 C with the following neutralization.
