FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: endocardial electrode is device intended for electric stimulation of cardiac muscle. Electrode has body, contact head, fixing member, helical conducting wire, stilet-mandrin, guide bushing, and insulating coupling with contact pin. Split bushing is mounted on electrode body for axial displacement. Helical conducting wire is made as n helical wires connected in parallel. Number of helical wires is from 8 to 16. Design of conducting wire makes it possible to enlarge service life of cardiostimulator approximately fivefold due to increase in electric conductivity and to reduce external diameter by 20%. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
