FIELD: waste water treatment. SUBSTANCE: process consists in biological sorption and oxidation in biocenosis of swelled sludge by way of aeration of waste water-swelled sludge mixture, separation of swelled sludge from treated water, retention of swelled sludge by flocculating its particles with assistance of biological active film, and gravity sedimentation of these particles. Performance of swelled sludge is provided by cavitation treatment (with cavitation number G=0.001-0.01) of waste water, fed into and recycled in sorption process, to achieve oxidation of waste water-swelled sludge mixture. Invention increases waste water purification efficiency owing to creating conditions providing functioning of controlled biocenosis of swelled sludge, while maintaining its oxidative and sorption capacities at highest levels.
