FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining initial dose and exposure time in treatment applied directly to larvae in their natural habitat. To do it, halves of heads with nasal cavities and appendage cavities of heads inseminated with the larvae are arranged with their cut parts upward in a chamber having all living conditions required for the larvae. Each set of larvae is treated with required dose of the aerosol. Larva death time under a test dose is checked. The dose being found, the following study is carried out with generally accepted methods. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy in determining lethal dose of drug without affecting ill animals.
