FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this joining unit relates to construction of metal coupling joints in industrial buildings. Joining unit has column 1 together with runway girder 2 of bridge crane installed on column and also together with antibreaking-off device. Antibreaking-off device has table 3 and load-bearing member 5 which by means of braces and flat member 6 and shaped members 7 is rigidly connected with crane-carrying component 8 of column 1. Application of aforesaid embodiment of joining unit allows for enhancing reliability of its functioning and permits of carrying out repair operations without stopping of bridge cranes.
