CROSS-COUNTRY VEHICLE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; wheeled and crawler vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed vehicle has frame made in form of U-section solid platform providing strength of structure and protection of transmission from mechanical injuries and contamination. Design of crawler unit is simplified and provision is made for extending track in vertical plane owing to installation of track guiding wheels stationary on platform and connection of track guiding wheels with track rollers by means by hinge posts and links. At least one post or one link is made telescopic, or at least one track guiding wheels is installed for displacement along platform.
