FIELD: means of initiation, applicable in manufacture of detonators. SUBSTANCE: installed in detonator, having an electric primer, case with a high- explosive charge, cap with a burning-to- detonation transformer, is an additional cap with dense inert material, which has a duct filled with retarding compound engageable with the burning-to-detonation transformer. Bound compacted iron powder is used as dense inert material. Slushing compound, consisting of potassium sulfate on phenol-formaldehyde lacquer, is applied onto the case outer surface.
