FIELD: abrasives. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to manufacturing abrasive elements for superfine polishing of marble and granite slabs on mechanized stone-finishing lines and for polishing of ceramics and glass. Paste uses, as adhesive, copolymer of acrylic and methacrylic acids. When hardening of paste is ended, copolymer forms strong three- dimensional film strengthening fixation of abrasive grains in matrix. Fine abrasive material shows high specific surface (up to 500 sq.m/g) and further improves physico-mechanical characteristics of tools. Abrasive grain size being below 1 mcm, roughness of polished surface is reduced. EFFECT: increased strength of tools, wear resistance and lifetime. 2 cl, 2 tbl
