FIELD: high-frequency electric reconnaissance. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring amplitude values of horizontal and vertical electric constituents at different orientation angles of geometric axis of transmitter or receiver antennas and of relative phase difference between field constituents. Measured parameters provide data for structural characteristics of geological section in horizontal and vertical planes. Respective device has transmitter, which output is connected to electric horizontal antenna, which is connected to input of amplification transducer, which is designed using super- heterodyne circuit with multiple frequency conversion. Antenna of transmitter is designed as two horizontal perpendicular antennas, which are connected to device output through switch. Antenna of receiver is designed as two antennas, which are identical to transmitter antennas. One of receiving antennas is horizontal , another one is vertical. They are connected to respective device input through switch. Receiver has two amplification transducers, which are designed using super-heterodyne circuit, shared heterodyne, first and second amplitude channel detectors, which inputs are connected to outputs of amplification transducers, two mixers with phase channel intermediate frequency mixers, phase channel adder-detector, narrow-band low-pass amplifier for phase channel, and phase meter. One input of each mixer is connected to respective output of amplification transducer. Shared heterodyne is connected to inputs of adder-detector. Its output is connected to second input of phase meter through narrow-band low-pass amplifier. EFFECT: increased information content and fidelity. 2 cl, 2 dwg
