FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: described is composition for preparing zinc-filled coating comprising alkyd-combined binder based on pentaphthalic resin modified with one of polymerization of polycondensation resins and zinc powder, composition comprises binder having dry matter in amount of 18-45 wt % and zinc powder with spherical particles the size of which varies from 1 to 15 mcm, ratios of components being as follows, wt %: binder, 20-50; zinc powder, 50-80. Dry matter to zinc powder weight ratio in binder varies form 15:85 to 10:90. Composition makes it possible to prepare zinc-filled coatings with equally high protective, electroconducting and adhesion properties but selectively different consumer properties, namely high atmosphere and water resistance in building industry, high water-and chemical resistance in petroleum extraction and gas production industries, and high hardness and shock strength in machine-building industry.
