FIELD: manufacture of building materials; tunnel-type furnaces for roasting ceramic articles. SUBSTANCE: roasting furnace has tunnel divided into drying, roasting and cooling zones, rollers with axles and rails for motion of cars with articles placed at gaps; roasting zone is bounded by end walls whose thickness is no less than 1.1 of gap between articles; walls of furnaces have longitudinal slots in roasting zone for passage of rails secured on cars and holes with bearing body in each of them; bearing is provided with stepped axle mounted as cantilever; it is also provided with bush made from low heat- conducting material; axle of each roller is pressed in axial cavity through bush; each bearing body is guarded by wall made from heat-resistant material.
