FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating external surface of one of bone fragments with milling cutter having internal cone cutting edges. Internal surface of the other fragment is treated with countersink having external cone cutting edges. The milling cutter and countersink working surfaces match one another in shape. The cutter and countersink are applied using guiding rod. Canal is prepared with drill which diameter is equal to rod diameter. Recess is formed in an end face of one of fragments. The recess matches in shape and depth to protruding conic end of the other fragment. An additional rest point is created according to biomechanical principles as a result of the treatment, so that adapted abutting joint is built in fixing the fragments in compression-distraction apparatus. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; high stability of the joint; greater area of contact; improved regeneration and coalescence conditions. 2 cl, 3 dwg
