FIELD: aeronautical engineering; construction of seats. SUBSTANCE: energy dampening seat includes base with guides on which body rests by means of upper and lower sliders, locking mechanism with spring-loaded pins secured on body, spring mechanism mounted on base which is used for supporting the body in adjusting the height of seat and dampening mechanism. Energy dampening mechanism is made in form of knives secured on guides of base for longitudinal motion with cut longitudinal projections in grooves of guides. Base is provided with side struts whose lower ends are built in guides; these struts are connected with guides by means of shear pins. Struts are provided with holes for pins of locking mechanism. Knives are secured on struts in front of end faces of guides which are provided with slots for receiving the sliders located on the outside of base and with slots for receiving the struts located on the inner side of base. Slots for struts are provided with longitudinal projections whose end faces are located opposite cutting edges of knives. Cylinders of spring mechanism are secured on struts by their upper ends and on seat body by their lower ends. EFFECT: reduced usage of metal and enhanced reliability in case of emergency landing due to more rational connection of load-bearing members and increased pliability of guides. 4 dwg
