FIELD: testing ferromagnetic articles for disturbed coats. SUBSTANCE: magnetizing of object under test is effected together with tape by moving the permanent magnet and electromagnet pole directly over tape surface orienting the magnet in such way that linear contact between magnet pole and tape is ensured. Minimum angle formed by surface of article and faces of pole does not exceed 35 deg. EFFECT: increased productivity; enhanced mobility of method; extended field of application; reduced power requirements. 2 cl, 3 dwg
